Join us at the AIPAC Conference in DC to demand:
No War on Iran!
No sanctions! No intervention! No assassinations!
Sunday, March 4 at 11am at Mt. Vernon Place
(between 7th St and 9th St NW in front of the Convention Center)
Initiated by Occupy AIPAC
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Barack Obama
On Sunday, March 4, people will gather outside the conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee to oppose war threats and sanctions targeting Iran. Among the conference attendees will be President Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
U.S. and Israeli officials have used Iran's nuclear program as a pretext for an increasingly aggressive demonization campaign against Iran. The United States has spearheaded economic sanctions against Iran, and both the United States and Israel have threatened military aggression. A number of Iranian nuclear scientists have been killed in assassinations sponsored by the United States and Israel.
Iran has repeatedly stated that its nuclear program is for the purposes of producing energy and that it is not pursuing nuclear weapons. The United States, on the other hand, possesses 10,600 nuclear warheads in its stockpile and is the only country to have used nuclear weapons. Israel has hundreds of nuclear weapons, refuses to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and bars international monitors from inspecting its nuclear facilities.
Join us on Sunday, March 4, at 11am at Mt. Vernon Place (between 7th and 9th streets in front of the Convention Center) to demand: "No war on Iran! No sanctions! No intervention! No assassinations!"
The demonstration is initiated by Occupy AIPAC and is being co-sponsored by the ANSWER Coalition and numerous other organizations.
