Biden's massive escalation: Pentagon bombs Iraq, Syria to support Israel's genocide in Gaza

The ANSWER Coalition condemns the Biden administration’s air attacks on 85 sites in Iraq and Syria, countries which are not at war with the United States. Both countries have been illegally occupied by U.S. military forces for many years before the attack on an American command post in Jordan. Biden and his advisors, like their predecessors, continue to arrogate to themselves the “right” to invade, occupy and attack anywhere -- then pose as the victims of unprovoked attacks when there is resistance from the people of those countries.

Biden’s statement on the attacks reeks of hypocrisy:

"The United States does not seek conflict in the Middle East or anywhere else in the world. But let all those who might seek to do us harm know this: If you harm an American, we will respond."

In fact, the Pentagon has now carried out attacks on Yemen as well as Syria and Iraq, all countries thousands of miles from the United States, to which they present no threat. The Biden administration has provided vast quantities of military equipment, bombs and more that makes Israel’s genocidal assault on Gaza possible.

So, Biden’s assertion that his warmongering administration “does not seek conflict in the Middle East” is nothing more than the most cynical deception. They are responsible for all the death and destruction in the region. There is a way to get U.S. personnel in the Middle East out of harm’s way: Bring them home now!
