Initial call for October 8 protest:

Trillions of dollars spent on wars of aggression over the last fifteen years has robbed communities of color and poor and working people of the money needed for jobs and education while destroying the Middle East and leading the world closer to a military confronation between major powers.

Under the Emanuel regime in Chicago--despite the cover-up of Laquan McDonald's lynching, the revelations of the police torture site at Homan Square and more--the machine has responded to mass protest and the militant cries for justice with nothing but meaningless words and more cops.

This is not a time to remain idle. We must act now to put an end to the triple dangers of racism, environmental destruction and war.

We must mobilize to stop the rise of the new racist movement emboldened by the fascistic Trump campaign. We must defend Black Lives Matter from right-wing attacks like the white-supremacist Blue Lives Matter laws.

As the Clinton campaign and others continue to call for an escalation of wars in the Middle East and greater support for the racist aparthied state of Israel--as the U.S. continues to fund the bombing of Yemen, threaten Syria with destruction and ramp up the fearmongering, using lies about Russia and China as a pretext to spend even more money on weapons and war, we must say enough is enough!

Neither Trump nor Clinton will help solve the environmental crisis.

Money for Jobs and Schools, Not War!
Stop the Racist Attacks on Immigrants and Muslims!
Support Black Lives Matter!
Stand with #NODAPL! Save the Planet!
