The Justice Center en El Barrio, the home of the ANSWER Coalition in New York City as well as other progressive and community organizations, has been engaged in the fight against the city's outrageous plan to spend $10 billion building new jails instead of spending money on meeting peoples' needs like jobs, housing, and education.
