March Against Racist Policing in Bradenton!

November 19, 2016 at 11:00am - 1pm

Data recently uncovered by Manatee County NAACP proves what the community suspected for many years: a long record of racist and discriminatory policing in the City of Bradenton. Although the Black community makes up roughly 16% of the city's population, Black people account for 50% of people shot by police and 75% of those killed by police in Bradenton. The records also show disproportionate stops and citations of Black people and other people of color.

Please join us Saturday November 19th, 2016 as we demand an end to racist policing. We can no longer stand by as we witness our brothers and sisters suffer at the hands of an aggressive, militarized police department. The numbers are clear. Bradenton police, instead of protecting the people, are oppressing, exploiting and intimidating communities of color.

Take a stand and join us as we fight racist policing in Bradenton.

“It is our duty to fight for our freedom…
It is our duty to win…
We must love and protect each other….
We have nothing to lose but our chains.”
