The ANSWER Coalition invites you to our Monthly Community Open Mic!

Come express yourself. Share your ideas. Sing, Dance, engage in Spoken Word. Bring your talents! This is a place of individual creativity and collective empowerment.

This month's Liberation Mic we celebrate Latinx Unity, Heritage, and Resistance. We honor our freedom fighters from Berta Caceres to Che Guevara. For centuries the ruling class has tried to silence the voice of Latinx, Black and other oppressed people, but we know that they will never succeed.

Liberation Mic is a time to project our unity and our unbreakable connection to previous generations of struggle. Our features will include spoken word artists, singers, steppers, and much more. Last month we featured a comedian -- there's no telling what new forms of art will be featured so make sure you come!

Every month is a month to honor the culture of resistance and every day is a fresh start for a revolutionary beginning! Join us for some local talent and community building!

Features Include:
Sky Menesky
Dagoberto López-Coño
Karen Garrido
Danny Shaw

*Plus the special release of one of our featured performers new books, The Saints of Santo Domingo: Dominican Resistance in the Age of Neocolonialism.*
