On May 19, the ANSWER Coalition was joined by Women Organized to Resist and Defend (WORD), the Worker Student Alliance (UC Irvine), Party for Socialism and Liberation, Inland Empire Riot Grrrls, and more for a contingent in the Long Beach Pride Parade’s 30th anniversary.
Even though the permit was revoked, volunteers and activists will be holding signs and placards and handing out leaflets in Freedom Plaza and all along the Parade route on January 21.

WORD is organizing protests outside the presidential debates in Hempstead, New York and Boca Raton, Fla. During the week of October 16-22, women across the United States will march and protest in locally organized actions to defend women’s rights.
On Aug. 26, women and supporters took to the streets from coast to coast as part of a new fight-back movement against the assault on women's rights. Protests took place in NYC, New Paltz, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver, Lexington, Milwaukee and several other cities.
