The ANSWER Coalition is working day in and day out against war and the obscene militarization of society. Nearly 50 percent of our tax dollars pay for war, weapons or debt for past wars. That is an outrage! Help us intensify our work in the coming year!
The following is a personal appeal from Ron Kovic, Vietnam War veteran and author of Born on the Fourth of July, to Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans and active-duty service members.
Veterans for Peace has initiated a veterans-led civil resistance at the White House on Dec. 16 that is being supported by the ANSWER Coalition, March Forward! and many others. We need your help to bring young war veterans to D.C. to participate in this action.
