Organizers estimated that over 100,000 immigrants and supporters flooded the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol April 10—a weekday—demanding comprehensive immigration reform.

On Tuesday April 23, NYC WORD organizers joined a dozen of protesters outside of the New York Times building to demand the end of the publication's usage of the term "illegal" when referring to undocumented immigrants.

On April 10, immigrants and activists from all over the country are taking to the streets for a rally in Washington, D.C. Immigrant rights organizations and labor unions are mobilizing with thousands of people nationwide to descend on the West Lawn of the Capitol.

We demand full amnesty, legalization and rights for all undocumented people, as well as an immediate moratorium on the racist deportations. Not one more man, woman or child should be deported while members of Congress debate what type of legalization program to enact.

On May 8th, ICE officials announced it will be activating the "Secure Communities" program in Massachusetts on May 15th. The program increases collaboration between local law enforcement and ICE, and has led to a record number of detentions and deportations.
