Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the new Trump Hotel to show their outrage at Donald Trump's constant displays of racism, sexism and countless other forms of bigotry as well as his refusal to negotiate with workers who have voted to form a union at another one of his hotels.

While Trump's campaign is based on division, his bigotry is also uniting many different communities — against him — and leading to a resurgence in protest activity.

The Sept. 12 protest initiated by the ANSWER Coalition and endorsed by many progressive organizations and unions received widespread coverage in the local, national and international media.

On Monday, Sept. 12, protesters from a wide range of communities united outside of the new Trump hotel in Washington D.C. to stand up to bigotry and exploitation.

As the Republican Party gathered in Cleveland to coronate virulent bigot Donald Trump as their presidential candidate, the ANSWER Coalition joined the crowds outside protesting.

The militant show of force by community members and activists, led largely by youth and students, forced Trump's security apparatus to hop over a barricade and escort the racist candidate through a back entrance.

The ANSWER Coalition has mobilized its members and friends across the country to make the peoples’ message clear: “We will resist Trump and his hate speech!”

Trump’s ascendance is clearly accompanied by the emergence of a broad-based fight-back movement.
