Say no to terrorist attacks against Cuba
& the Bush administration's threats
On Friday, May 20 the right wing Cuban American community plans to protest in front of the Cuban Interests Section in Washington DC. While claiming that Cuba is a human rights violator they will also be supporting well known terrorist and CIA operative Luis Posada Carriles. Posada is a notorious anti-Cuba terrorist and killer. On April 12, he appealed for asylum in the U.S. through his attorneys in Miami. As a well known CIA agent in the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and possibly up to today, he has planned terrorist attacks on Cuba that have killed dozens of Cubans and other people.
The Bush administration has strengthened the blockade on Cuba, and is escalating the threats against Cuba. They will find endless pretext to pursue their policy. It is part of a longstanding effort by the U.S. government to overturn the Cuban revolution and return the country to the neo-colonial domination that existed prior to 1959.
The people of the U.S. must stand in solidarity with the people of Cuba, with their right to determine their own destiny, and the right of the Cuban revolution to live free from threats, blockades, terrorism and subversion.
The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition urges all those who stand against the attacks on and threats against Cuba to join the demonstration on Friday, May 20 from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm.
Sponsored by EPICA, the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition, and others.
