Hundreds of volunteers will be needed to make the September 24 demonstration a success. If you are in the DC area and are interested in volunteering, please join one of our final two meetings taking place tomorrow (Wednesday, September 14), as well as on September 21 (details will be sent out by email).

At the September 14 meeting, there will be a political discussion, an update on organizing for the September 24 demonstration, and a detailed description about how you can volunteer on September 24 (and in the days before). You can also pick up the new, two-color leaflet that says "From Iraq to New Orleans, Fund People's Needs Not the War Machine."

Also, join us this Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 for the last weekend of outreach before the demonstration. We will meet at the A.N.S.W.E.R. office at 1247 E St. SE at 12 noon on both Saturday and Sunday. Teams will go out to put up posters and hand out flyers for the demonstration. We will also have worksessions going on in the office. If you are planning to come in this weekend, please call 202-544-3389 x14 to sign up.

Directions: The A.N.S.W.E.R. office is located at 1247 E St. SE, the corner of 13th and E Sts. in Southeast Washington DC. The entrance to the building is on 13th St. By metro, take the blue or orange line to Potomac Ave. - we are just a few blocks away. If you are driving, there is plenty of free street parking available.
