Cuban Vice President Esteban Lazo Hernandez will be speaking at a public event on Wednesday evening September 20 at 7:30pm. To attend this event, you must pre-register. You must have a ticket. [Update 9/19, 5pm: Registration for this event is now closed]

Esteban Lazo Hernandez, Vice President of the Cuban Council of State, director of its International Relations Committee and long time revolutionary leader, will be heading the Cuban delegation to the opening session of the General Assembly of the United Nations. He will be joined by Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque.  

Vice President Lazo Hernandez’s visit to New York takes place as Cuba assumes the leadership of the Movement of Non-Aligned Nations. Fifty heads of state from nations across Africa, Asia and Latin America are attending the Summit of Non-Aligned Nations in Havana this week.
