ANSWER Coalition extends its support and solidarity to Tristan Anderson
The ANSWER Coalition extends its support and solidarity to Tristan Anderson, his family, union brothers and sisters, comrades in the International Solidarity movement, and the people of Ni’lin, Palestine in the aftermath of the latest horrific attack by the Israeli Occupation Forces.
The IOF’s use of so-called “non-lethal weaponry”—which has in fact caused countless deaths and permanent injuries—against courageous people placing their bodies in the way of Israel’s expansionist apartheid wall has been condemned worldwide. We join in that condemnation and in the hopes of so many for Tristan’s full recovery.
Tristan and the others injured by the IOF on March 13 are the latest in a long line of those killed or wounded heroically resisting the Israeli onslaught in Ni’lin and all over occupied Palestine. Four Ni`lin residents have been killed during demonstrations against the confiscation of their land for the apartheid wall since last July; many others have been seriously injured.
The U.S. government, which provides billions of dollars in aid and many of the weapons used by Israel against the Palestinian people and their supporters, bears full responsibility for these atrocities.
