Come see the new office and meet A.N.S.W.E.R. volunteers and organizers. Enjoy refreshments, music and a slide show.
Among the speakers will be Gloria La Riva, who grew up in Albuquerque and is a founder and national leader of the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition. She has been a key organizer of many mass demonstrations and other actions opposing the wars and occupation in Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine. La Riva is the coordinator of the National Committee to Free the Cuban Five and has worked for decades to end U.S. hostility toward Cuba. She is currently president of the Typographical Sector, Media Workers Union Local 39521, CWA in San Francisco.
Other speakers will include A.N.S.W.E.R. organizers Angel Pardo, Jennifer Caldwell, Preston Wood, and Marylou Cabral.
Speakers will discuss A.N.S.W.E.R.'s perspective for the struggle against war and racism in the coming period, and building an effective and united movement for economic and social justice in Albuquerque, and everywhere.
