This June, political prisoner Jalil Muntaqim – who has been held in Attica for the past 45 years – has a parole hearing. Free Jalil Muntaqim committees in Upstate New York are calling on people from across the country and the world to stand with one of the longest held political prisoners in the United States and demand his freedom.
As a member of the Black Panther Party and Black Liberation Army, Jalil was a target of the FBI’s vicious COINTELPRO program as he stood up to racism and injustice during the struggles of the 1960s and 1970s when he was a young man. He is now 64 years old, having been in Attica for 45 years.
