Yet again the corporate media is functioning as an echo chamber for the Pentagon and the CIA as they seek to overthrow a sovereign government. The situation in Venezuela has been outrageously distorted in mainstream outlets, but there are progressive alternative media outlets providing excellent regular reporting on the true state of the country as it resists a U.S. orchestrated coup. This site is an excellent source in English and Spanish. Their site says, “We are a group of independent journalists and researchers dedicated to studying the war against Venezuela and global conflict. Our content is totally free.”
This English-language newspaper online is a very good source of up-to-date news and analysis from a progressive perspective. Started in 2018 by Venezuelans to bring to the outside world the reality that is hidden in the U.S. press.
The Venezuelan television network begun by Hugo Chávez to provide an alternative, progressive media outlet for Latin America and the world. It has also an English link and provides up-to-date articles and videos.

It is a very popular program in Venezuela, and is led by Diosdado Cabello, vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.
