For over 75 years, the Palestinian people have been subjected to a deadly and racist occupation by Israel. Now, Israel has unleashed an unprecedented siege on Gaza, killing more than 8,000 Palestinians. They have blocked all access to food, water, medicine, electricity, and communications, and ramped up bombing beyond comprehension. After bombing the al-Ahli hospital, massacring hundreds, Israel is now threatening Gaza’s biggest hospital, al-Shifa. More than 50,000 Palestinians are sheltering in al-Shifa hospital, and Israel’s fuel blockade has already ended all power generation at the hospital, leaving Palestinians on life-support to die. 

It is a genocide, plain and simple – enabled by Joe Biden and the U.S. government’s unconditional support. 

To end the genocide, we must dismantle its root cause: the Zionist occupation of Palestine and U.S. aid to Israel.  

As healthcare workers, our mission is to heal people and save lives, and we have a vital role in shaping public opinion and revealing the truth of the genocide in Gaza. Now is the time for us to speak and act boldly, with unwavering principle and moral clarity. We must join hands with the people of the world and with the heroic people of Palestine, to stop the genocide in Gaza, and put an end to the brutal, 75-year Israeli occupation of Palestine.
