Hundreds of protests to resist U.S. government's immigrant concentration camps

Protests against the sickeningly cruel conditions in immigrant detention facilities are taking place in at least 600 cities and towns across the country. The actions, called Lights for Liberty, are organized by a broad coalition of progressive organizations

Outrage has been spreading around the world and the shocking abuses faced by migrants detained in U.S. custody. Overcrowding, unsanitary conditions, brutality from guards and many other abuses are rampant. Many of these detention centers are privately run, meaning that big corporations are making huge profits off of this suffering.

To make matters even more outrageous, the Trump administration is planning a massive series of raids this weekend in major cities across the country to round up thousands of undocumented people.
