This month's Liberation Mic we celebrate Black August, which honors the freedom fighters of Black Liberation and began in commemoration of Panther leader George Jackson. Black August is a time to embrace the principles of unity, self-sacrifice, political education, and resistance.

For centuries the ruling class has tried to silence the voice of Black people and other oppressed people, but we know that will never succeed. Liberation Mic is a time to project our unity and our unbreakable connection to previous generations of struggle. Every month is Black History Month and every day is a fresh start for a revolutionary beginning! Join us for some local talent and community building!
