In the face of extreme economic aggression by the United States and domestic elites, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and the country's Bolivarian Revolution secured a clear victory in the presidential election on May 20. Even before the vote took place, the United States and its right-wing client governments in Latin America ludicrously declared that the vote would be fraudulent, and have since intensified their efforts to isolate Venezuela diplomatically and economically.
On the day of the election, the ANSWER Coalition and other progressive and solidarity organizations took part in actions to show solidarity with Venezuela and build support for its revolution.
