This Saturday, the Party for Socialism and Liberation will hold its second New England Conference on Socialism in Boston.

Don't miss the opportunity to attent this event featuring panels, workshops, discussion and political hip hop. Topics will range from the movements against war and occupation abroad to the attacks on working people at home. Whether you just want to learn more about socialism or find out how you can get involved in the struggle against the criminal capitalist system, this conference has something for you!

Conference registration will begin at 11 a.m. The program will go from 12 noon to 5 p.m. There will be two 30-minute breaks, and food and refreshments will be provided.

Meet some of our conference speakers:

Frances Villar

Frances Villar

Frances Villar was the PSL's 2009 mayoral candidate in New York City, running against billionaire Michael Bloomberg. The Villar campaign called for taking the power out of the hands of the billionaires, putting the wealth of the city at the service of working people and cleaning the streets of the killer cops that prey on the city's communities.

Karina Garcia

Karina Garcia

Karina Garcia is a New York City public school teacher and organizer with ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism). She advises a student group, Youth Against War and Racism, comprised of a dozen high school activists between the ages of 14 and 17.

Dorotea Manuela

Dorotea Manuela

Dorotea Manuela is a member of Boston May Day Committee and a long-time immigrant rights activist in Boston. Dorotea has been engaged in the struggle against the racist "Secure Communities" program and is a passionate fighter for full rights for all oppressed people. She most recently helped organize a rally for International Workers Day.

Ardeshir Ommani

Ardeshir Ommani

Ardeshir Ommani is an Iranian-born writer, political economist and president of the American Iranian Friendship Committee (AIFC). Ommani has written a number of articles documenting U.S. foreign policy toward Iran and has been deeply involved in the anti-war movement and the struggle against U.S. wars and occupations.
