Actions across the country to demand:
Justice for Trayvon Martin!
Outrage has swept the country over the racist killing of Trayvon Martin. To win justice for Trayvon, individuals and organizations across the country, including the ANSWER Coalition, are mobilizing from coast to coast.
It should be no surprise that the police are giving cover to the racist killer of Trayvon Martin. Police carry out racist violence against African Americans day in and day out—Amadou Diallo, Sean Bell, Gary King Jr. and Oscar Grant are among some of their better known victims across the country. Stop-and-Frisk tactics of the police, targeting primarily people of color, resulted in nearly 700,000 stops in NYC last year alone. These repressive measures are designed to criminalize a whole generation of young people of color.
