Anti-war veterans and founders of the UK chapter of Veterans For Peace will be speaking in Los Angeles on how their military experiences led them to become anti-war activists, and will report on the anti-militarism struggle in the UK.

FEATURING:

Ben Griffin - Former British SAS soldier who served in Northern Ireland, Macedonia, Afghanistan and Iraq. He returned to the UK on leave and refused to return to Iraq or serve under American command, a heroic act for which he went to prison. In 2011 he founded Veterans For Peace UK, the first international chapter of VFP.

Jim Radford - At 15 years old, was the youngest sailor to serve in the D-Day offensive during WWII. He is well known in the UK as a composer & singer of folk & maritime shanties. Jim has been an activist and organizer within the peace movement for over half a century.

Karl Hemming - Served in the British Army in Afghanistan. He joined VFP while still in the active-duty military, and marched to the Cenotaph with us on Remembrance Sunday 2013 in defiance of Standing Orders. He writes poetry as a way of expressing his experience as a soldier.

Also featuring author and anti-war activist S. Brian Willson and singer-songwriter Ross Altman
