The ANSWER Coalition has put out a call for emergency demonstrations to take place across the country in response to the bombing campaign launched by the United States and its European allies against Libya. Here is a list of demonstrations sponsored by ANSWER and other organizations.

Community members, anti-war activists, students and veterans from all over the greater Boston area came together for a rally and march on the eighth anniversary of the Iraq war and demand an end to U.S. wars abroad and the war on working people at home.

Tomorrow, Saturday, March 19, we will take to the streets of Boston as part of an international day of action against U.S. wars and occupations abroad and the war on working people at home, and take a stand against the U.S./U.N. military initiative against Libya.

U.S./U.N. intervention will not bring “democracy” or “freedom” to the Libyan people. Progressive people must tear the mask off the phony humanitarian slogans being used by U.S. officials about their “deep concern” for the fate of the Libyan people.

Bradley Manning, if he is responsible for what he’s been charged with, is being subjected to outrageous abuse because he told the truth. On March 19, thousands of people will be telling the truth, too, by taking to the streets in protest against the wars.'

There are only five days left until we take to the streets in Boston and other cities across the U.S. on March 19 against the war abroad and the war at home. Help us build this important day of action!
